Mr. Boob comes to Cuthbertson as a seasoned veteran educator (since 1983) and school administrator (since 1997). Mr. Boob enjoyed a high school teaching and coaching career that included Parkwood High School (UCPS),Valleydale High School and Independence High School (CMS). After achieving personal teaching and coaching goals, Mr. Boob entered administration. In 1997, he started his administrative career in Stanly County serving two high schools North Stanly and West Stanly. In 2003, Mr. Boob signed on with Union County bringing his roots back to Parkwood High School. While at Parkwood, he had the pleasure of working with Principal Rob Jackson. The Cuthbertson assignment is an exciting reuniting he is looking forward to with anticipation.

Mr. Boob was raised in Vero Beach Florida where he was an accomplished athlete, studied musician and medium art. He continued his education as a college athlete for Pfeiffer College, Florida Atlantic University and graduate work through UNCC; where he graduated with honors and is a member of the Kappan Society (Kappa Delta Pi). Mr. Boob is a book author, loves ocean fishing, hunting and his blues/beach music.

Mr. Boob is a proud husband and father of two daughters and a son. All of his children were scholar athletes for Butler High School (CMS) and earned athletic/academic scholarships as scholar athletes at Elon University, Appalachian State University, and Coker College. His children now cover the Carolinas from Wilmington NC, Greenwood SC and Hartsville SC. His wife, Charlene, continues her career with Presbyterian Hospital-Novant Health Systems formerly as an RN and currently Director of Clinical Systems.

The varied life experiences between athletics (player and coach), studied artist, book author, musical talents, a stint as an electrical design engineer and his career in teaching brings a well rounded, balanced and grounded philosophy to his administration. You will always find his door open.


Ms. Warr was born and raised in Georgia where she earned a B.A. in English from the University of West Georgia.After moving to Charlotte in 2001, she worked eight years as an English teacher and Head Cheerleading Coach at Butler High School (CMS). As Head Cheerleading Coach, her Varsity squads won the NCHSAA State Championship for four consecutive years.While teaching and coaching, she continued her education by receiving a M.A. in English Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and then earned a principal’s add-on license from Wingate University. She is also a National Board Certified teacher.

In addition to teaching high school and coaching cheerleading, Ms. Warr worked part-time for four years at Central Piedmont Community College where she taught English courses and then helped begin the Lateral Entry program at CPCC for those students pursuing their teaching license. She is currently very involved with online learning, serving as the Research, Development, and Innovation Specialist and teacher for the North Carolina Virtual Public School. Her love of technology and innovative approaches to education will help prepare Cuthbertson students for learning in the 21st century.

Ms. Warr has a passion for technology, traveling, and reading books. Her enthusiasm for learning, her genuine rapport among the student body, and her desire to see students be successful bring a unique warmth and approachability to her role as Assistant Principal of Instruction at Cuthbertson High School.


Dr. Cheryl Jones is a native of Baltimore, Maryland where she attended the public schools and went on to Morgan State University earning her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. After working for a few years in education, Dr. Jones went back to school to complete her Doctorate at the University of Maryland in Educational Administration and Supervision.

Dr. Jones came to Union County Public Schools after serving thirty-five years in education as a teacher, supervisor, State Specialist and local CTE Director.  Her work at the Maryland State Department of Education provided leadership for Family and Consumer Science programs. She also represented Maryland on the board for a nationally known high school reform effort called High Schools That Work, based in Atlanta, Georgia.  

Dr. Jones retired from the Baltimore system while serving as the Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE). As the director, she garnered over $43 million in grant funds for CTE programs along with acquiring opportunities for students to receive scholarships from postsecondary institutions, work experience in large and small businesses, and internships for teachers so they could grow professionally. 

Dr. Jones was recognized by the Council of Great City Schools for her work in urban education. The Maryland State Department of Education also honored her as an outstanding educator in 2005. Not only has she been acknowledged by her colleagues within the profession, Dr. Jones had the pleasure of being honored by both the Mayor of Baltimore City and the Governor of Maryland, recognizing her commitment and dedication to education.  Working to improve education for all students is Dr. Jones’ passion and brings her great pleasure.

Dr. Jones and her husband are the proud parents of eight children, all of whom are now young adults living in Baltimore, Maryland; New York City; and here in Charlotte.  Dr. Jones and her husband have a large family with grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
