-Union County Antique Tractor and Power Club – The club is offering up to four scholarships of $1,000 each to Union County graduating seniors entering into the field of Agriculture or an Agriculture related field. Please click HERE for details about the scholarship. The deadline is April 1, 2015.

-Union County Extension Master Gardener Association Scholarship - The applicant must be residents of Union County and planning to attend a North Carolina college or university and be majoring in botany, environmental studies, forestry, landscape architecture, horticulture, crop sciences, local foods, animal husbandry or related fields. -Kiwanis Club of Monroe Endowed Scholarship - is pleased to award an open scholarship (called our Endowed Scholarship), and we’d like to invite any Union County high school senior to apply. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior who possesses strong character, a demonstrated belief in service to the community, and academic evidence predicting success in college. The purpose of the scholarship is to help a student who can be successful in college but may not receive financial assistance elsewhere. The recipient may pursue higher education at the institution of his/her choice. One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded to the student selected. -Good Neighbor Pharmacy Scholarship – Good Neighbor Pharmacies in North Carolina are offering one $5,000 scholarship and four $1,000 scholarships. Please visit http://www.mygnp.com/scholarship for details about this scholarship. Deadline is April 11, 2015.

-The Mary Blair Scholarship is given each year by the Woman’s Ministry Union of Union Baptist Association. This scholarship is for one student attending Wingate University in the Fall of 2015. Applicants must be members of a church affiliated with the Union Baptist Association. One $500 scholarship will be awarded this year. Application deadline is May 1, 2015. -The Union County Association of Educational Office Professionals is offering three scholarships open to a variety of groups (one to children of members of Union Co. EOP, one to children of UCPS employees and one scholarship open to ALL UCPS students.) Please click HERE to review the details of each scholarship and the application details. -The Cattleman’s Association Scholarship – Applicant must be a Union County resident, a high school senior and must be enrolling in an agricultural or animal science program and a college of his/her choice. Please click HERE for the application. Applications are due March 15, 2015.

-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Committee, Inc. Scholarship - The Dr. MLK, Jr. Committee, Inc. is a non-profit organization that is delighted to award two $500 scholarships to high school seniors who want to enhance their learning and/or training aptitude to a higher level. -The Shelton Leadership Challenge - North Carolina Wesleyan College is delighted to offer The Shelton Leadership Challenge on our campus June 21-26, 2015.The Shelton Challenge seeks youth that are rising 9th to 12th grades students (graduating seniors included) with a 3.0 grade point average (unweighted) or higher. -Girls on the Run – Bob Sabin Scholarship – Any girl who participated in Girls on the Run in grades 3-5 or Girls on Track in grades 6-8 and will enter college in the fall of 2015 is eligible for a Girls on the Run of Union County scholarship worth $1000. -Alpha Zeta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators will be awarding a $1,000 grant-in-aid award to a deserving young woman in Union County’s Class of 2015 who expresses a sincere desire and commitment to enter the teacher profession. The ideal candidate is one who excels academically, is involved in the community and school activities. Please click HERE for the application. Applications are due April 2, 2015.

-North Carolina Child Support Council Scholarship – Applicant must be a graduating senior who has at least one parent who is a part of the NC Child Support Council or a who is a client of the Child Support Program (through Child Support Services or Clerk of Court services.) Applicants must have been accepted by a NC school of high learning. Applicants must have maintained an overall C average or above during his/her high school career. Applications are due by April 24, 2015. Please click HERE for the application.

-Charlotte Metro Area Relocation Committee (CMARC) is offering the Jane Osborne Memorial Scholarship – This scholarship is for a current high school senior who has relocated into the Charlotte area sometime between grades 9 (after 8th grade graduation) and 12. The one-time award of $1,000 will be presented to one Charlotte area high school senior this year. The award will be sent to the college that the student will be attending to assist with tuition, etc. Applications and essays are due February 28th. Please click HERE for the scholarship application.

-Union County Association of Educators in cooperation with the Retired Educators of Union County proudly announces one $1750 scholarship will be awarded to a senior planning to major in Education. Please click HERE for the scholarship application. Applications must be postmarked by Tuesday, April 14th, 2015.

-The Union County Principal’s and Assistant Principal’s Association (UCPAPA) has established and funded one (1) $1,000.00 scholarship to be awarded to one Union County Public Schools Senior who has been enrolled for at least one semester and a permanent resident of Union County for at least six months. The recipient must plan to attend a four year university, plan to major in education, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, and exhibit leadership in the classroom and in extra-curricular activities. -Los Bravos Scholarship 2015 - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Chapter of Los Bravos Incorporated is a non-profit organization comprised of African American men who strive to provide community services in the city of Charlotte and surrounding areas. This year we are pleased to announce that we are awarding “TWO” $1,000 scholarships to honor the legacy of Los Bravos and the founding members of this chapter. These scholarships will be used to help pay for books or tuition during a student’s freshman year of a secondary education. The student this scholarship is geared towards is an individual who is well rounded, shown progression throughout his or her educational career, overcome obstacles to succeed, and with a financial need. -Michael A. DeMayo Scholarship - Since 2003, Attorney Michael A. DeMayo has offered high school seniors a chance to win a scholarship toward their college education. Over the past decade, the program has grown and evolved to include 15 winners across 23 counties who each receive a $2,500 scholarship. The scholarship contest includes an application, a presentation that encourages fellow teens to abstain from underage drinking and driving and/or highlights the dangers of drinking and driving (presentations can be in the format of video/PowerPoint/brochure/website/essay), transcript, ACT or SAT Scores and two letters of recommendation. All entries must be post-marked on or before midnight on March 23rd, 2015 or dropped off at one of our four offices by 5 p.m., March 23rd, 2015. Entries sent by email will not be accepted. -North Carolina State USBC Association Youth Scholarship (Bowling) - $2,000 scholarship that can be applied to any recognized college, university or trade school. Funds can be applied to tuition or books. Applicants must bowl in a certified USBC North Carolina Youth League and be a current member of NCS USBCA. Applications due March 1st 2015. -St. Matthew Teen Stewardship Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded annually to a high school junior or senior who demonstrates the principles of Catholic stewardship through their dedicated involvement in a ministry or self-diected community service project. Students must be members of Saint Matthew Catholic Church. A one-time $1000 scholarship will be awarded. Please click HERE for the application and more details. -State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC) Scholarship – Each year the SEANC offers academic scholarships to the dependents of SEANC members. Merit-based and need-based scholarships are awarded each year. Applications are due April 15th, 2015. Scholarship applications are available online at http://www.seanc.org/membership/scholarship .

-AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) National Audition Tour for Admission and Scholarships – AMDA will hold a variety of auditions in Charlotte, NC. Interested students should call the AMDA Admissions Office at 800-367-7908 or visit amda.edu .

-State Employees Credit Union has established the “People Helping People” four year scholarship program. Each North Carolina public high school will receive one scholarship valued at $10,000 for a senior to attend one of 16 constituent campuses on the University of North Carolina. (Yes! You read this correctly; this scholarship is for one CHS Senior and is valued at $10,000 over four years!!!) Applications are available HERE and are due no later than March 31st, 2015. -The North Carolina Farm Bureau is offering scholarships to those attending both community and 4 year universities and planning to major in agriculture or agriculture-related fields. The community college scholarship is valued at $1,000 per year for two years and the university scholarship is valued at $3,750 per year for four years. -College Sports Scholarship – College Sports Recruiting Scholarship is proud to award a $1,000 scholarship to a college student who best represented a true leader in sports and life. -Blumenthal Performing Arts is offering graduating seniors the opportunity to apply for two performing arts scholarships.  The Mary Doctor Performing Arts Scholarship is a $10,000 annually renewable scholarship that will be awarded to two students who demonstrate above-average ability and who will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in a field directly related to the performing arts.  The Gordon Hay Scholarship is a one-time $5,000 scholarship that will be awarded to one student for non-tuition expenses that will deepen the student’s experience in their performing arts related field of study. -NC Division of Veterans Affairs - In appreciation for the service and sacrifices of North Carolina’s war veterans, a four-year scholarship program at North Carolina approved schools has been established for the qualifying children of certain class or category of deceased, disabled, combat, or POW/MIA veterans. ·Elon Teaching Fellows — Outstanding students who have a GPA of at least 3.7, and have a combined critical reading, math and writing SAT score of 1900 (ACT 28) or higher should consider applying.
