"Preparing All Students to Succeed"

AdvancED Student Surveys to be conducted

Union County Public Schools is engaged in an ongoing continuous improvement process, of which all stakeholders are a part. Your child will be asked to participate in a survey according to the schedule below:

  • Elementary and Middle School Students between the September 10 and September 17.
  • High School Students between September 10 and September 20.

Surveys are a means to engage all our stakeholders systematically in two-way communication. They provide school leaders and teachers a lens into the thinking and perceptions of our stakeholders. Careful analyses of the results enrich understanding of areas of strength and effectiveness, as well as those areas that possibly need improvement. The survey results will enable our school leaders to measure stakeholders’ attitudes and help target improvement strategies focused on student achievement and school and district effectiveness. Taking the survey will also help stakeholders understand the AdvancED Standards for Quality Schools and provide a means for learning about what a parent, student, or staff member should be looking for in a high quality school system.

If you wish to review this survey, a copy is available in the office of your child’s school. A copy of the survey can also be reviewed here. Should you elect for your child not to participate, please send written notification to your child’s teacher.

Thank you for your support in allowing your child to complete the survey. His/her participation is greatly appreciated.
