Kennedy Speaks to Civics Students

Students in Mr. Dustin Allen’s sophomore Civics and Economics class learned from CHS School Resource Officer Jim Kennedy recently. Kennedy visited the class to talk about Miranda warnings and the Search and Seizure Second Amendment; topics the students were studying. He also gave the students a chance to ask questions. Kennedy joined CHS in October, 2014, after serving as SRO at Parkwood High School. Before that he was a police office in Brooklyn, New York, and retired as a first grade homicide detective of New York City. Kennedy and his family moved to North Carolina in 2007.
