Med Science II Class Takes Honors
Students in Mrs. Joyce Durham’s Medical Science II class were recently honored with certificates from the National Consortium for Health Science Education. The test is a written assessment given online and has a national pass average of 55% but the entire Med Science II class passed it – making Mrs. Durham’s class 100%! Passing the National Healthcare Foundations Skills Assessment adds credibility by providing a national certification and shows that the students have a fundamental knowledge of healthcare. The certificate is also very beneficial when applying to college or pursuing a career in the healthcare field.

Allemond and Wade are Headed to Broadway!
Two CHS students have been selected to participate in The Broadway Experience March 25-27, 2012. Cuthbertson High School was one of twenty Charlotte-area schools permitted to nominate high school juniors or seniors for this opportunity. Taylor Anne Wade, a junior, and Lilly Allemond, a senior, submitted an essay to the Blumenthal about what a trip to Broadway would mean to them. On January 5, 2012, Ralph Beck and Michelle Youngs, who operate and manage the education programs at the Blumenthal, chose the two young ladies as finalists and came to the school to interview them.
